  On January 3, 2021 Gaizka Garitano was dismissed from the Bench of Athletic due to an unacceptable start to the season; He had taken the reins of the club in one of its worst moments of recent years in December 2018. Garitano put us in the 2020 Cup final suspended by Covid, however the impatience of the board led  to that decision. Marcelino arrived then on January 4, 2021 with the Super Cup tournament on the doorstep, and with little time in the squad the Asturian achieved the desired title of the Supercopa 2020-2021 beating Real Madrid and Barcelona.   El 03  de Enero del 2021 Gaizka Garitano fue destituido del banquillo del Athletic debido a una poco aceptable comienzo de temporada; era canterano había tomado las riendas del club en uno de sus peores momentos de los últimos años  en Diciembre del  2018. Garitano nos metió en la final de Copa del 2020 suspendida por Covid, sin embargo la impaciencia de la directiva llevo esa decisión.  Llegaba entonces Marcelino el 04 de Enero del  2021 con el torneo de Supercopa en puertas, y con poco tiempo en la plantilla el asturiano logro el deseado titulo de la Supercopa  2020-2021 venciendo al Real Madrid y Barcelona. Parecía el inicio de algo histórico dado que en ese mismo 2021 se jugaría la final de la Copa del Rey 2020 aplazada versus a la Real Sociedad, y nos metería en la final de la Copa del Rey 2021. Comenzaban los sueños; “ un triplete” . Pero el destino fue otra perdimos esa dos finales y además la final de la Supercopa 2021-2022. Quizás mas dolo...
